I ponder the meaning of one's existence.  I came to the conclusion that one's existence has no meaning.  With the way people disregard the lives of others, as well as their own lives, it is obvious that they have not yet found a reason to live.  Furthermore, our existences do not matter.  Whether we live or die, it does not matter.  When a person dies, he is forgotten in a matter of a few decades.  Even memories fade with time, and with that, the last trace of that person fades away from this Earth.  So why do we keep on living when we can obviously see there is no point in going on?  I believe the answer to this question is love.  Because we were created to be with God, any search to validify one's existence on this earth will result in failure, the reason being that the purpose of our existence can only be found in heaven.  We keep on living so that we can find God's love in this desolate world.  I think this explains the notion of love.  True love is the one emotion that can really ever bring happiness to anyone; being loved and loving someone just feels right.  And I believe it feels right because through the love we recieve and give to our fellow humans, we can see a glimpse of the love God has for us.  I think that explains another aspect of love.  Love causes as much pain as it does joy.  You know you love someone when you can feel intense pain because of that person, not only intense joy.  I think the reason for this is because through the love we have for each other, we see a glimpse of God's love, the ultimate love, but we have no way of fully experiencing it because of the seperation between heaven and earth, and this causes us intense pain and loneliness while we are on this earth.  I think therefore I am.  Your logic can validify the fact that you exist, but it does nothing to validify the reason you exist.  So I reached this conclusion instead, without love, existence is meaningless.  Without God's love, love is meaningless.

Once again, you cannot fully experience America until you go to college, a world of exciting adventures, stupidity, crime, and STD's.  It seems with all my roommate has gone through here at UIUC, he is more American than me, and it also seems like he will one day come to avenge his being violated over and over again by taking over as president (or dictator *cough*commy*cough*).  Now, my roommate, Rohan, is from India and did not know what to expect of America or of Americans.  This changed a couple of days ago; he got the full experience of AMERICA!  It was late at night, around 5 A.M. where I had finished my qouta of insane homework for the day and was relaxing by watching an episode of Witch Hunter Robin.  (Since I am Korean, my conclusion is that I have to love doing homework, watching anime, playing star craft, and eating rice with kimchi).  My roommate, the studious Rohan who studies for fun, was of course asleep at this hour.  Suddenly, I hear the door creeping open as in a horror movie, and I slowly turn around and what do I find?  A WHITE PERSON!!!!!  I'm like...uh...what's going on...eh...whatever.  The white person came waltzing in, pretty hairy, and in only his boxers.  Now my Asian blood gave me an intimate knowledge of KungFu so I wasn't afraid at all.  Now comes the funny part.  This white dude, pulled Rohan out of his bed, climbed up, and fell fast asleep. A couple minutes later, the RA we called came up and woke this stranger up.  To make this already long story short, the whitey left.  Rohan climbed back up to sleep but he recoiled in shock!  I asked out of curiosity, "Rohan, what's wrong."  Rohan replied, "my bed is wet," and proceeded to weep.  Enough said.  The white guy had invaded Rohan's bed, fell asleep, and pissed on his bed.  Now Rohan has found this fact out about Americans I knew along time ago, they like to piss on everything and on everyone, both figuratively and literally.  Sad but true.  Its also been 2 days since the front desk said they would change the mattress.  Rohan had reached another conclusion, Americans like to screw everyone, especially brown people named Rohan.

Today the funniest thing happened.  I was sleeping and I awoke to sound of someone knocking on my dorm door.  As I was rubbing my eyes, two policemen walked in...I was like WHAT THE FREAKING HELL!!!!!!!   Those cops told us that someone had complained they smelled weed coming from our room.  We were like..."uh no way", because both my roomie and I were minority engineers.  Those cops took one look at us, one whiff of our room, and they were like "...sorry dudes, wrong room."  I bet they were laughing at us.  We were like the nerdy drug free versions of Harold and Kumar.  That really made my day...another unique experience in college.
